Definition:
Rett syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that affects the way the brain develop. This disorder is caused by a defective regulatory MECP2 gene found in the X chromosome, mostly exclusively in girls (Rett syndrome, 2015).
Imagine how it feels...
Imagine someone asking you a question and nothing comes up. Imagine being unable to tell your little brother that the stove is hot and not to touch it. Imagine wanting to play the piano but your hands won't allow you. Imagine trying to tell your hand to stop the spastic, repetitive motion but it won't. Imagine being unable to walk "normally" like the rest of the 6th graders down the hall.
